Sanctus Est

“Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God.” - G.W. Carver

"Death comes to us all"-Mort, Terry Pratchett

There's a season for everything
and it seems that now is the
season for death. One of my
grandad's cancer has gotten
worse over the weekend and my
other grandad was diagnosed with
it last week. There was a newsletter
to my parents today to say that one of the elders in the church has died
of cancer. She was diagnosed a few weeks ago. It seems that God's
doing some collecting and the disease of the age is cancer. For every
age there is a disease whether it's TB in the Regency period or the
plague in the Stuart's. "Death comes to us all" and in a way that
not all of us would want.

But although we will suffer and it
seems a little gloomy, God will
always be with us in our grieving.
He would never leave us stranded.
Amoungst the struggles and suffering that makes us stronger, Y'shua is
with us, holding our hands in the middle of a storm. We are free to cry
and grieve in the arms of a friend.

I pray for the strength to stay
strong for those that need it.
For my grandads as they
degrade in health and pass
from one world to the next,
however long that may be.
