Sanctus Est

“Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God.” - G.W. Carver

Bombs in London

Here's a poem I wrote today inspired by the bombs
going off here in London. My dad is right in the
middle of it today, working in the underground.
He has not been injured or hit thank God but he
easily could have and many people have been
affected. Some have died, some injured and
families of those hit are hurting. But amoungst it
all I want to add some hope and maybe some
clarity in chaos.

Here it is:

Terror grips the nation,
Chaos fills the air,
There seems to be no explanation,
But hatred and fear.

Once again like old time,
There is always war,
But we need not pine,
For God is worthy of awe.

Glory amoungst fear,
Truth amoungst lies,
Hope amoungst dispair,
Comfort amoungst tries.

Jesus said long ago,
That we should not fear,
For he’s with us where’er we go,
And embraces us here.
